WasabiCard joined the Open USD partner network. OUSD card and cross-border settlement remain exploratory, alongside its existing USDT and USDC support.

WasabiCard said in an October 20, 2026 company announcement that it had joined the Open USD partner network as an official ecosystem partner. The payments infrastructure provider will explore OUSD settlement for business card payments and cross-border money movement. Follow sector developments in OrangeX.com Industry News.

Existing support and a proposed addition

The company says it already supports USDT and USDC for stablecoin funding and settlement. Its enterprise services include white-label card programs, corporate expenses and fund disbursements. Open Standard is described in the announcement as the operator and governance organization behind Open USD, or OUSD.

Partner membership is the completed step. Bringing OUSD into the payment workflows is the exploratory step. The release gives no firm commercial launch date for those integrations and should not be treated as confirmation that all cardholders or business clients can already spend OUSD.

Access details still matter

The announcement does not establish a new consumer rollout schedule, country-by-country eligibility or final OUSD conversion fees. Businesses will need product-specific terms before treating the additional settlement route as operational. OrangeX.com Analysis

Adding a settlement asset can widen treasury choices, but a card transaction still depends on the funding balance, conversion route and fiat obligations of the payment program. The practical test is whether a documented integration provides reliable access, transparent costs and usable settlement timing. Ecosystem membership indicates cooperation; live service terms and supported payment corridors will show how far that cooperation reaches.
