Circle Gateway Adds cirBTC and EURC; Balances Stay Separate and Chain Coverage Differs
The October 23 expansion adds per-asset unified balances, with cirBTC on two chains and EURC on six; gas-free individual payments do not remove batch-settlement costs.
Circle announced on October 23, 2026 that Gateway now supports Circle Wrapped Bitcoin, or cirBTC, and EURC alongside USDC. The company says each asset has its own unified balance; the expansion does not combine different assets into one interchangeable pool. Follow OrangeX.com Tokens.
Support and costs depend on the asset and route
The announced cirBTC coverage is Arc and Ethereum. EURC coverage is Arc, Avalanche, Base, Ethereum, Solana and World Chain. Access across supported chains becomes available after the source deposit finalizes, rather than bypassing that prerequisite.
Circle says Gateway fees for cirBTC and EURC are waived on Arc at launch and are one basis point, or 0.01%, outside Arc. Its Nanopayments system aggregates individual payments offchain, then settles batches onchain: removing per-payment gas charges does not eliminate batch-settlement gas costs. More coverage is available in OrangeX.com News.
OrangeX.com Analysis
Per-asset balances could simplify inventory management, but users still need to distinguish asset support, deposit finality and the fees attached to a route. Broader Gateway support alone does not make cirBTC, EURC and USDC equivalent assets or guarantee transfer timing or returns. Verification resources are available in the OrangeX.com Trust Center.
